Kausani

Kausani is a hill station and village situated in Bagheshwar district in the State of Uttarakhand, India. It is famous for its scenic splendour and its spectacular 300km wide panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Panchachuli. Kausani covers a total 50.2 square kilometre area and is 6200ft above sea level. Kausani is in Bagheshwar district at a distance of 40 km from Bagheshwar city. Due to the altitude, the temperature ranges from 10’c to 26’c during summers and the temperature falls to 2’c-15’c during winters. According to Mahatma Gandhi, Kausani is the Switzerland of India. Mahatma Gandhi had spent some days and wrote his commentary on Anashakti Yog in Anashakti Ashram also known as Gandhi ashram by the common people. Chaukori

Chaukori is a hill station in the Pithoragarh district ,set among the lofty peaks of the western Himalayan Range in the Kumaon Division of Uttarakhand, India. It is surrounded by Tibet in the North and Sarai in the South. The Mahakali River runs along its eastern boundary forms the Indo-Nepal international border. This place has become a prominent tourist place and from here , a wide and picturesque view of Himalayan range can be viewed. Jim Corbett National Park

A reserve forest situated in Uttarakhand, Kumaon Himalaya Range. It is one of the oldest national park in India. Sona river flows through this National park. Jim Corbett National park contains various species of trees like pine, sal, chir, shishu and many more. Besides having a vast species of trees it is home to many animal and birds. You can find elephants, wild dogs, tiger, forest cat, leopard and 580 species of birds. Corbett National Reserve has two main entry gates- Dhangari and Aamdanda. Dhangari gate is 14 km far from Ramnagar, Aamdana gate is 3 km far from Ramnagar. Corbett National Park spreads over 1288 square km. It is divided into 5 zones for the tourists and night staying is made available for the tourists inside the reserve forest.
